As one of the world's oldest coffee brands, Miko was founded in 1801 as a family business by Leo Michielsen in Belgium. Passed down through generations under the name Michielsen Koffie until the early 20th century, the company achieved its current brand name in 1938 by combining the "Mi" from Michielsen and the "Ko" from Koffie.
