Sustainable Purchasing Policy

Through our efforts to generate long-term economic performance, we focus on the preferences and expectations of our guests and customers, thereby contributing to our economic sustainability. We take utmost care to ensure the development of the local economy in all regions where we operate, and to enable the local population to derive maximum benefit from these economic developments. Within the scope of the quality management system we implement, we encourage all our suppliers to grow and develop, and we foster active collaboration with them.

In line with our sustainable procurement approach, we ensure that our suppliers/solution partners:

  • Possess Quality Assurance Management Systems, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems, as well as internationally recognized environmental and sustainability ethics/certifications,

  • Have no harmful environmental impacts in production and supply, and strictly comply with environmental regulations,

  • Utilize/consume resources appropriately without harming wildlife and the ecosystem, and fully comply with hunting and fishing bans,

  • Strive to minimize and properly manage their waste, and offer reduced packaging or bulk packaging alternatives for product packaging,

  • Offer alternatives that are eco-friendly, energy-efficient, locally sourced, ethical, organic, bio, vegan, cruelty-free, free of harmful chemical components, or made from recyclable/recycled materials,

  • Are domestic and local production/service providers,

  • Provide products/services that reflect and promote the cuisine, traditions, and culture of our country/region.

We strive to create efficient purchasing opportunities together with our suppliers and aim to reduce the environmental impacts arising from supply processes.

SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Our primary objectives are to use our natural resources in the most efficient way to prevent environmental pollution and protect nature, as well as to maintain and control the amount of our waste, ensure recycling, and render waste harmless. We are firmly committed to sustainable resource management, climate change mitigation, and the protection of biodiversity and ecosystems in fulfilling our environmental obligations. Accordingly:

  • While planning our investments, we consider the risks of our buildings and infrastructure systems to protected sensitive areas, historical heritage, and the integrity of the natural and cultural environment. We prefer sustainable, locally appropriate practices and materials in our land use, construction, maintenance and repair operations, design, and landscaping works.

  • We contribute to the protection and development of local/regional properties, sites, and traditions of historical, archaeological, cultural, and spiritual significance.

  • In order to protect our cultural heritage and transmit it to future generations, we maintain our sustainable approach to introducing this heritage to the guests we host in our tourism group, conducting our work through joint efforts and training processes with the local population.

  • With a zero-waste perspective, we take great care to segregate waste at its source.

  • We maintain energy efficiency at the highest level throughout all our activities.

  • We contribute to the protection of nature by prioritizing materials labeled as "recycled" and "eco-friendly" for the products we purchase. We strive to create opportunities for reuse.

  • We take care to leave less waste in nature by minimizing the use of single-use materials such as paper, napkins, toilet paper, and disposable packaging as much as possible.

  • We strive to use water, energy, and all natural resources economically. We share this sensitivity with all our stakeholders.

  • We measure our environmental management performance, track this data against set targets, and continuously work to improve our performance.

  • We aim to train our employees on environmental matters and raise their awareness.
